The process to get a custom mouthguard at our Unley dental practice is simple and only requires one appointment. 

We take an impression of your upper teeth, which is then used to create a mouthguard that fits your mouth precisely.

The impression appointment is quick - usually no more than 15 to 20 minutes. It's straightforward, comfortable, and can easily be fitted around a busy schedule.

Your finished mouthguard will typically be ready to collect within a week. 

Custom mouthguards are very reasonably priced, especially when you consider the cost of treating a dental injury without one.

Rinse your mouthguard with cold water before and after each use, and clean it regularly with a toothbrush and mild soap. Store it in the hard protective case it comes with, away from direct sunlight and heat. Bring it along to your regular dental check-ups so we can check it's still fitting well and in good condition. Mouthguards do wear over time and may need replacing, especially for growing children and teenagers.
